A LAST-gasp goal from Scott Jackson gave Westfields an impressive 1-0 win at Boldmere St Michaels in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup.

A replay had looked certain until Jackson slotted the ball home in stoppage- time after Mark Hibbard’s free kick was flicked on by Daryl Addis.

The Hereford club will now host Shropshire outfit Market Drayton Town in the preliminary round on August 28.

Westfields and Boldmere created few goal-scoring chances in an opening 45 minutes dominated by defences.

Jamie Addis appeared to have put Westfields ahead after the break but his effort was ruled out for offside.

Westfields goalkeeper Jamie Moore pulled off an excellent save from Stuart Capaldi as Boldmere threatened to break through.

Westfieds’ defence was at full stretch to hold the home attack but Joel Edwards and Gareth Thomas made vital tackles.

The game was heading to a replay when Jackson moved forward for Hibbard’s free kick and struck the winning goal.

Pegasus Juniors conceded a stoppage-time goal in a disappointing 1- 1 draw at home to Leicester’s Heather St John.

Andy Mowen fired Pegasus ahead after four minutes and they held the lead until seconds from the end when Danny Quinn scrambled the ball home.

Chris Mortlock headed an early chance against the crossbar before he flicked a corner to Mowen who unleashed a low shot into the bottom corner.

Scott Roberts then had an effort blocked before the visitors countered at pace and Matt Brown cracked a shot against Liam Brewer’s crossbar.

Pegasus almost doubled their advantage after the interval when Richard Harrison’s clearance put Cory Hyde in the clear.

However, the striker could not lift the ball over Heather goalkeeper Tom Gutteridge and the opportunity was missed.

Brown rattled the Pegasus bar for a second time and Mitchell Jordan headed Spencer’s cross over the bar.

The visitors salvaged a replay when Jon Mills crossed to the far post and Brown headed the ball for Quinn to scramble in the equaliser.

Wellington produced a fine display and were disappointed to be held to a 1-1 draw at highergraded Biddulph Victoria.

Aaron Morgan’s 35thminute strike put Wellington ahead but Biddulph replied after the interval to force a replay.

Biddulph struck the bar after an early lapse from goalkeeper Matt Eden but Wellington responded strongly.

Derek Craddock was denied by the home keeper before Morgan put Wellington in front from Will Perkins’ corner.

Danny Hill headed against the bar but Biddulph levelled early in the second half.

Wayne McNeil and Matt Williams had chances to win the game for Wellington in the last half an hour.
