WESTFIELDS are searching for a new manager after the resignation of Darren Lynch.
Lynch has stepped down from the managerial role after 12 months owing to family and work commitments.
Westfields chief executive Andy Morris said Lynch told the club committee he could no longer devote the necessary time to the role.
He said: “The committee are appreciative of all Darren’s hard work and commitment. He will be missed by everyone and we are sorry that he has resigned.”
Jon Hill and physio Brian Jones took charge of Westfields’ 2-1 defeat at Alvechurch in the Aspire Midland Alliance on Tuesday.
Tom Harding fired Westfields ahead in the 12th minute but Alvechurch drew level from Dave Dainty’s penalty a minute into the second half.
Sam Willis struck the winner for Alvechurch in the 84th minute before Harding was sent off for comments made to the referee.
