WESTFIELDS under-10 goalkeeper Ronnie Hollingshead has signed for Premier League club West Bromwich Albion.

Ronnie, a pupil at Hampton Dene Primary School, is the son of Westfields goalkeeper Rory Hollingshead.

The youngster's deal at the Baggies is for five years and he will be coached by Alan Hawkins, who holds goalkeeping sessions at Westfields once a week.

Ronnie has also been coached by Paul Hughes from the FA Skills School and has already played for WBA against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Swansea, Southampton and Sunderland Academy teams.

“This is fantastic news for Ronnie.," said Westfields chief executive Andy Morris.

"He is a tremendous prospect and has been at Westfields since a young age as he has supported his dad who has played regularly for our Herefordshire League team.

"Everyone at Westfields is delighted for him and his parents as his mother too is actively involved at the club as junior teams club secretary.

"They are a real footballing family and we will watch his progress now with interest."
