WESTFIELDS manager Sean Edwards believes Craig Jones can play at an even higher level than Hereford United.
But the allpay.park chief, who lost his star player to the Bulls last week, believes he has a ready-made replacement in his own ranks.
Jones was released by the Bulls three years ago, and has rebuilt his career playing for Westfields.
He has now re-joined the Edgar Street club until the end of the season.
Edwards said: “I’m really proud of him. “He left Hereford United a boy and is returning as a man. If he works hard, he can go even further in the game.
“He is one of the best players I have seen in Herefordshire for a very long time.”
But Edwards is tipping Westfields academy player Zac Sirrell to fill the void left by Jones.
The Fields manager has no doubt that Sirrell is capable of stepping in.
Edwards said: “He has progressed very well through the ranks and worked hard.
“He is a similar player to Craig and I have every faith in him. He’s one to watch.”
