HEREFORD United's FA Cup tral has twice ended on this day at the fourth-round stage.

Back in 1977, a trip to frosty First Division Middlesbrough brought a 4-0 reverse.

And, just last year, while the trip was not quite as far north, the outcome was almost the same with the Bulls going down 4-1 after Stuart Fleetwood's early goal.

In 1983, United scraped a goalless draw at Darlington while the only victory on this day came in 2000.

In a Conference clash at Hednesford, where the kick-off was delayed due to motorway problems, Rob Elmes struck the only goal in a 1-0 win.
