4:52pm
It's all over at Ewen Fields and an embarrassing defeat for the Bulls who have been truly tanned at Hyde.
4:41pm
And Jevons completed his hat-trick six minutes from time when he found himself in yards of space to blast home.
4:37pm
Ten minutes from the end, more reckless defending from Hereford allowed Jevons to restore the two-goal lead for the home side.
4:36pm
Hereford finally kicked up a gear with the arrival of Tom Nichols and Tristan Plummer with Bowman heading in a Clucas cross after 76 minutes.
4:29pm
But on 71 minutes, Hyde went further ahead when Phil Jevons worked some space in the area and drilled a shot under Hanford and into the net.
4:23pm
Smikle should have done much better on 61 minutes when he shot weakly at Carnell from 15 yards.
The winger then set up Clucas with a cross which the midfielder shot straight at Carnell when a foot either side would have brought a goal.
And then Bowman raced down the left before pulling the ball back for Smikle who fired over with the goal gaping.
But Hyde struck back and Callum Byrne let fly with a fierce shot which went straight into Hanford’s arms.
4:16pm
And Bowman came close to a second goal with a flicked header from Sammons’ free-kick which dropped on the roof of the net.
4:13pm
Will Evans came on to replace Canham after 54 minutes with the Bulls reverting to 4-3-3 formation.
4:10pm
The home side made the most of their pressure on 52 minutes.
Alex Brown cut in from the right and, as Sammons left him space, drilled a left-foot shot past Hanford from the edge of the area.
4:06pm
Hyde pressed hard at the start of the second period and put the Hereford defence under pressure.
3:45pm
That's half-time at Ewen Fields with Hereford losing their grip on the game after a promising start.
3:44pm
Then Sammons warmed Carnell’s hands with a powerfully struck drive from 25 yards.
3:43pm
Graham joined the attack at the other end to meet a Sammons corner and flicked a header for a minute before the break.
3:41pm
And Spencer then got up well to beat Graham and flicked a header from Brizell’s free-kick just wide.
3:40pm
But Hyde had gained confidence from their goal and another Spencer run found Brizell who side-footed his shot wide from a good position.
3:39pm
Hereford, however, should have regained the lead immediately.
Andy Gallinagh’s perfect cross picked out Bowman in yards of space but the goalscorer flicked his header high and wide when he really should have hit the target.
3:37pm
After 39 minutes, Hereford were made to pay for their lack of adventure.
Spencer went racing down the right channel and lashed a shot across Hanford and into the corner of the net.
3:35pm
Hereford were being forced to defend more and more deeply but, fortunately for the Bulls, Hyde were unable to find the killer pass to create danger in front of goal.
3:31pm
Hereford’s play had become scrappy and Clucas sent a shot just wide.
Hyde broke back down field and their best chance yet cam when Hanford had to leap to tip over a Spencer drive from the edge of the area.
3:27pm
Hereford eased back as Hyde staged a series of attacks but the Bulls defence did well to close down the home side and ultimately Scott Spencer sliced a shot well wide of Dan Hanford’s goal.
Pell then did well to leap to head away a Josh Brizell free-kick after Carruthers had rather harshly been penalised.
3:18pm
Hereford forced their first corner through a good Clucas run on 19 minutes.
Sammons’ cross caused a few problems before the ball was cleared by the Hyde defence but only as far as Harry Pell who raced into the area before the ball was booted to safety.
3:14pm
Although the Hyde attack was generally quiet, Stam had to be quick to intercept after Luke Graham gave the ball away to Jevons.
3:12pm
Hereford, though, were looking lively and Sean Canham sent a header wide from another cross from Carruthers, who was linking well with Clucas on the left-hand side.
3:10pm
Hereford, though, were looking lively and Sean Canham sent a header wide from another cross from Carruthers, who was linking well with Clucas on the left-hand side.
3:05pm
Hyde struck back and forced the first corner a couple of minutes later but Clucas did well to clear the danger.
3:03pm
But the Bulls took the lead in the fifth minute.
Ashley Sammons passed to Sam Clucas who sent Chris Carruthers away down the left.
The full-back crossed to the near post where Ryan Bowman netted with a stooping header.
3:00pm
Scott Spencer fired in an early shot as Hyde passed the ball neatly from the start.
Hereford’s first couple of raids broke down when passes went through to keeper David Carnell.
2:41pm
HEREFORD boss Martin Foyle was able to announce an unchanged line-up for the Bulls’ first visit to Ewen Fields.
Marlon Jackson and Marley Watkins were still not fit to return and did not make the trip north.
Tom Nichols, who has extended his loan stay at Edgar Street for a further month, was again named among the substitutes.
Hyde included the former Morecambe and Huddersfield Town striker Phil Jevons in their front line.
