Attendance: 1,378 (including 29 from Hyde).
Yellow cards: Hereford – Smith, retaliation, 68 min; Hyde – Day, foul, 65 min; Blakeman, foul, 68 min.

4:45pm

Brown misses a great two minutes from the end, ghosting in to meet a bush throw but shooting straight at Kettings.

4:42pm

The cutting edge, such as it was, has vanished and although the Bulls are having the better of play for this period, there’s not much goal threat.
McDonald sees a lopping header from an Edge corner easily grasped by Kettings.

4:21pm

Rankine has to leave the field on 64 minutes and is replaced by Purdie.

4:18pm

The Bulls have a let-off on 59 minutes when a 25-yarder screamer from Brizell flashes past Lloyd-Weston but hits the inside of a post and comes out again

4:18pm

Hereford are at least having more of the possession with really looking like testing Chris Keetings in the Hyde goal.

4:10pm

Hereford win a second corner shortly afterwards but that doesn’t come to anything either.

4:07pm

Rankine  instills some urgency and United win their first corner when Walker’s shot is blocked by Brizell.

4:02pm

Martin Foyle brings on Rankine at half-time with Artus making way.

3:41pm

Lloyd-Weston, who is definitely the man of the half, makes another blinding save to turn over a 20-yard free-kick from Adam Blakeman.

3:39pm

A clumsy challenge by Bush give a free-kick on a dangerous position – Hughes gets in the cross but the ball drifts over and out of play.
At the other end, Brown flicks the ball inside to Sharp whose half-hit shot is easily saved.

3:37pm

There’s a spark of life when Brown makes a good run into the area and James picks him out. But the shot is weak and is blocked.

3:29pm

Lloyd-Weston makes another fine save when Liam Tomsett gets in a flicked shot from Josh Brizell’s cross.
After 29 minutes, Hereford finally get in a shot although Dan Walker’s effort has no pace on it and is easily saved.
Jordan Clark forces another excellent stop from Lloyd-Weston as Hyde continue to have the better of the ball.

3:16pm

Hyde are still making the running and Connor Hughes cuts in from the left and forces a flying save from Lloyd-Weston.
The Bulls keeper pulls off another good stop moments later from a 25-yarder by Will Haining.

3:12pm

Sharp is put away on the right by a fortunate rebound but wastes the opening but slicing his crfoss, or was it a shot, out of play.

3:10pm

The visitors continue to dominate play for the first 10 minutes without challenging Dan Lloyd-Weston.

3:03pm

Hyde have the better of the early possession and Tomsett sends a shot well wide.

2:36pm

HEREFORD are forced into one change for the visit of relegated Hyde.
With Danny Leadbitter out injured after being on the wrong end of a crunching challenge at Grimsby, Jon Brown returns on the flank.
There is some good news on the substitutes’ bench where Michael Rankine makes a welcome reappearance.

Well I don't like saying it, but I am now of the opinion Foyle has taken the club as far as he can.
First half was a waste of everyone's time. Lumping the ball up to Sharp and Walker. They don't have the ability to receive the ball so every time we had it, we conceded possession immediately.
Our strikers were rubbish. Our midfield had no such excuse. Edge, Artus and James collectively were dreadful. Artus seemed disinterested. Kingsley thinks he's better than he is. Wrong Kingsley. You have to fight for every thing. It doesn't just come to you. Edge seems to suffer from lack of ability and poor judgement.
Even Luke Graham was making silly mistakes.
The second half perked up for a bit with Rankine offering a little bit of intelligence and hold up play, but after that we were left with Smith, who is our worst player by far and poor Dan Walker up front who never looked like getting a sniff.
Fortunately we had a really good performance from DLW in goal. Only one wayward kick all game and some saves that would not look out of place in the greed league.

A bloke near me said "what do you do all week?"
Summed it up quite well I thought.

Totally agree with you, Mizza!
What a dreadful performance! It was hard to believe, especially in the first half that Hyde were bottom with 99 goals against them. They came out and played football. We couldn't seem to get the ball, and when we did we lumped it forwards to no effect.
A great performance from our keeper, who saved us from immense embarrassment. How the ball didn't go in off the post for a stunning goal by Hyde near the end, I will never know.
