Lloyd-Weston does brilliantly to touch a Mensah effort on to the bar on 85 minutes.
A good piece of skill by Holman brings the ball down 35 yards and he steps inside Leadbitter to fire in a shot which drifts wide of the goal.
Hereford win a free-kick in a good position but Edge’s cross is plucked easily from the air by Hamann.
There’s another home corner on 66 minutes but Artus gets the ball away.
Holman sends a shot wide as Braintree make another surge forward.
It’s another Braintree corner on 59 minutes but Edge heads Mensah’s cross away.
Braintree gain a corner at the other end and it almost brings a goal with Dean Wells heading Mensah’s cross just wide.
Walker forces a corner on 52 minutes. Edge sends in the cross but Hamann’s fist deflects the ball so that McDonald can’t control his header.
Edge has to undergo a long spell of treatment after a blow to his face early in the second half.
The ball is still spending a lot of time in the air but Mensah dribbles a shot wide on 40 minutes.
The Bulls are, however, back on level terms within two minutes.
Artus works the ball through to Walker who neatly avoids a defender and lashes a shot into the corner of the net.
Hereford try to hit back but Sharp’s effort is nearer the corner flag than the goal.
A deflected shot by Holman wins a corner on 32 minutes. Mensah sends in the cross and it brings the first goal.
Holman’s shot is cleared off the line by James but weakly and the striker easily rolls the ball home.
A foul on Mensah earns Leadbitter the first yellow card of the game.
A long throw from the left is half-cleared by Luke Graham but Mulley’s volley dribbles wide.
The first corner goes to Town comes on 26 minutes.
Mensah’s cross is headed clear by Sharp.
Braintree’s style is very direct but Mensah outpaces Bush on the Bulls left before cutting in to curla shot just wide.
A shot by the advancing Artus is blocked as the Bulls try to get forward.
On 14 minutes, a cross from James Mulley flashes through the Bulls goalmouth with Sean Marks just unable to find the final touch.
Home goalkeeper Nick Hamann just manages to get to Edge’s punt forward before Sharp.
Confident catch from Lloyd-Weston as Sam Habergham drives in a cross from the left.
Immediately evident that Collins is right-back and Leadbitter right-wing.

Three changes see Rod McDonald, Jamie Edge and goalkeeper Dan Lloyd-Weston returning with Rob Purdie, Jon Brown and Rhys Evans dropping out.
McDonald’s return means Dom Collins can lead the attack alongside Chris Sharp and Dan Walker, who played for Braintree in the corresponding fixture last year.
Youth-team goalkeeper Owen Evans is on the bench with another youngster Billy Murphy.
