Substitute Brogan tries his luck from distance but his angled drive flies well wide.
Then McDonald gets in an excellent block after Kieron Forbes’ run sets up Norwood for a shot.
Green are beginning to make more of an impact and Norwood’s shot brings a low save from Lloyd-Weston.
Hereford concede an early corner in the second half.
But the ball is easily cleared and Hereford are back on the attack.
Evans races forward and sends in a low cross-shot which is comfortably saved.
A flicked header from Wright at the other end lands in Lloyd-Weston’s arms.
Sharp then fails to react sufficiently quickly when Rankine flicks on a Graham free-kick.
Then Brown drills a right-foot drive well wide of the target as the Hereford attack comes back to life.
Hereford repel some heavy pressure for a while before breaking out with Sharp’s shot deflecting out for the Bulls’ first corner.
Lathrope’s corner is clear and Kelly races away after some poor defending by Collins but again Lloy-Weston is equal to the task and makes a good low save.
And then a low drive by Wright brings a good diving save from Lloyd-Weston.
Evans pops up on the left but his inability to kick with his left foot is costly again as he is forced to cut inside before shooting well wide.
Lathrope is more accurate with a low drive which forces Russell into a diving save.
A foul by Collins brings a free-kick on the edge of the area after 24 minutes.
But Green’s Forbes shoots into the wall before sending the rebound wide.
Hereford take the lead on 26 minutes – Evans is sent away down the right by Graham’s pass; the winger’s cross deflects to Brown whose volley finds the bottom corner.
Kelly’s shot is tipped over by Lloyd-Weston as Green seek an immediate response.
Hereford continue to probe and Bush launches a long throw into the area on 14 minutes only for Rankine to be penalised.
But then a mis-placed header by Collins sends the ball straight to Norwood whose header, fortunately for Hereford lands in Lloyd-Weston’s arms.
Good work by Rankine sends Brown away on the left but the wingers cross is weak and straight at Sam Russell.
Hereford win another free-kick but Lathrope’s cross misses everybody and goes out of play.
The Bulls continue to attack and Sharp drills a 30-yarder well wide of the target.
The visitors are evidently primed to shoot on sight and Matty Taylor drives over from 30 yards on five minutes.
But the Bulls respond by earning a free-kick – Chris Bush floats the ball into the area but Rod McDonald volleys over.
Green attack from the kick-off and a shot from Marcus Kelly flashes just wide of Dan Lloyd-Weston’s goal.
FRANKIE Artus is missing for the Bulls with Jon Brown recalled to take his place on the left of the Hereford midfield.
Danny Leadbitter is unable to displace Dom Collins after completing his suspension and has to be content with a place on the bench.
Recent acquisition Jamie Edge gets a place among the Hereford substitutes.
