YOU could certainly say that the beginning few months of life at Hereford FC have been very entertaining.

We've seen the highs of the first ever game against FC United, the fantastic opening league game against Dunkirk, the comeback against Rocester and the great 7-2 win away at Heanor to name just a few of the highs.

There have also been a few times when things haven't gone to plan, the 5-4 home defeat against Coleshill being the one that immediately jumps out, but in general, I am more than pleased with the way we are shaping up.

We've tinkered with the squad a bit, and bought some good players in, namely Jamie Willets and Ryan Green.

One of the things that has been a constant throughout has been the amazing support that you have given us.

To be recording crowds of over 2,500 is unheard of at this level, and it has been that support that has played a big part in being able to attract the type of player we now have at Edgar Street.

What we must remember is the need to continue to work hard, not just during games, but on the training ground as well.

Those of you who may have listened to my ramblings before - going right back to when I was in charge of the youth team here at Edgar Street - will know that I place a large importance on each and every player concentrating on developing their game.

All of us are going to make mistakes, that's human nature, and something no one can change.

What we can change though is how we react to those errors, and I have been very impressed with the players' attitudes so far.

Your support at the times when things are not going to plan can also have a big influence on the players and I've been delighted to witness the support you have given, even during frustrating periods of matches.

Finally, may I take this opportunity to mention the golf day that I am organising on October 7 at Burghill Valley Golf club.

All funds raised will go to the club, so please do get in touch if you'd like to join in.

Sustainability is the buzz word at the moment and we need to look at all the ways that we can bring in that additional revenue and help this club not just survive, but thrive.
