HEREFORD FC manager Peter Beadle says that the four players who have agreed to sign for the club this week have shown that they can cope with the level they will be playing at.

Defenders Will Haines and Nathan Summers, midfielder Josh Emery and winger Soloman Wheatley have been added to Beadle's squad that brings the total number up to 11.

"They have shown that they can cope with this level and beyond," said Beadle.

"They acquitted themselves excellently on Saturday and all played excellently.

"I just told them to play their normal game because the harder you try, the worst it gets sometimes.

"The four of them will now only get better."

Haines has previously played for Wellington and Beadle said he is an unassuming player that sometimes goes under the radar.

"He acquitted himself at left back on Saturday and then slid in at centre-half when Tony James went off," said Beadle.

"Will was in my youth team and scored at Manchester City in the cup.

"He can cover a couple of positions very well."

Emery is the son of former Hereford player Steve Emery.

"He has got a great pedigree and has a footballing family," said Beadle.

"He was an apprentice at Cheltenham and has played for Cinderford and Evesham, so has good experience of the leagues above.

"He wanted to come in and have a go with us and I have been really pleased with his attitude."

Summers was an academy player at Plymouth Argyle and was at Hartpury College last year.

"I spoke to Mark Richards at Hartpury and asked him if there was anyone there who was looking for a fresh challenge and Nathan was the first name he said," said Beadle.

"He has got a good character and has got better in every game he has played."

While acknowledging that Wheatley will probably frustrate him at times this season, Beadle believes he can can be a real crowd pleaser.

"He has got a certain amount of genius about him and when he came on Tuesday, he made an impact and tried to be positive, even though we were three or four-nil down," said Beadle.

"When I told him the news that we had signed him, he was grinning from ear to ear."

Following Saturday's momentous win against FC United of Manchester, Hereford crashed back down to earth with a 6-0 drubbing against a West Bromwich Albion Under-21 side that contained £6million Premier League player Stephan Sessegnon.

Five players were released by Hereford following the game.

"It was chance for me to see some players against really good opposition and it was a great workout for the lads," said Beadle.

"West Brom were fantastic and moved the ball really well and that is what we're trying to aspire to.

"But we put in a shift and kept going, which was difficult at times.

"I want to thank the players we have to release because they came in and gave it everything they had.

"In my opinion, they are not quite ready right now."

Andre Wright and Samir Nabi scored for West Brom in the first half before Tyler Roberts and Sessegnon extedned the lead after the break.

Jamie Greory then diverted a cross into his own net to make it 5-0 before a trialist scored a penalty after goalkeeper Harvey Rivers brought down Roberts.
