HEREFORD FC has the safety certificate it needs to get tomorow's game on at Edgar Street.

The certificate signed off by Herefordshire Council this morning grants a ground capacity of 4,913.

Hereford FC play FC United of Manchester in the first game at Edgar Street since the demise of Hereford United.

Chairman of Hereford FC John Hale said going back to Edgar Street made for an "incredible" occasion.

"For all the hardship that we've seen in the last 12 months, to be able to open the turnstiles and invite everyone back in will be very emotional," said Hale.

"Supporters have worked tremendously hard for us to get to this position and I think we will all have a tear in our eye come 3 o'clock on Saturday because this is a start of a journey that we all hope will be successful and enjoyable."

Herefordshire Council confirmed this morning that the safety certificate had been issued allowing the game to go ahead.

Hereford FC took hundreds of fans away to Malvern Town in the week to watch the all new Bulls beat beat Malvern Town 3-2 in their first ever game.

The gate for that game topped 2,000 to hugely raise expectations for tomorrow.
