BARTESTREE have turned down a friendly match against Hereford United tomorrow night at Edgar Street.

Bartestree boss Dave Cadwallader revealed the Herefordshire villagers had been approached after United had scrapped their scheduled friendly with Sinkums ‘due to unforeseen circumstances’.

Cadwallader asked people on social media for their views on whether Bartestree should agree to the match with the troubled Bulls.

And Cadwallader, a Hereford United fan, has Tweeted: “We will not be playing Hereford United tomorrow nt. Thank you for all your comments & our decision is based on your reactions, thank u.”

Yesterday, United chairman Andy Lonsdale told the Hereford Times the planned friendly with Sinkums had been cancelled and they would not play another match before the weekend.

However, Cadwallader confirmed this afternoon that Bartestree had been approached to play a friendly with United tomorrow night.

This is fine as long as the regime at HUFC is being reminded exactly why the local sides are refusing to play them (the fact that players and staff remain unpaid). I hope the prospective opposition are saying that they will play them once the debts are paid, rather than just saying no. It needs to stay constructive.

Complete rubbish Cendrick don't you read Bulls News or the HT! This regime has got us relegated to the southern league, refused to pay its staff or ex players, shows compete contempt to its supporters, and has no interest in the Football Club a part from spending as least money as possible while it waits to get its hand on the ground leases for development. You are living in cloud cuckoo land if you think everything will be hunkey dory when AND IF everyone is finally paid which is looking very doubtful. why didn't they pay £148k to retain our Conference league status, why didn't they appeal when we were thrown out? Because they have their own hidden agenda. These guys know what they are doing and why. Thankfully the local community and teams in the Football League haves turned down their request for friendlies which now total 14. Suggest that like the Hereford United Supporters Trust you boycott games and refuse to use Addisons to help line their pockets. They are complete clowns ie no safety certificate, cancelled photo calls, cancelled fans forums, continual lies and mis formation to supporters. HUFC 1939 is dead. Time to move on.

Yes, I read both very thoroughly. The regime is awful, no question. There have been lies and avoidable error after avoidable error. It's incompetent at best, criminal at worst. I know.

BUT - I want the club to outlive the current regime. And when they've gone I want to able to go and watch HUFC again, not AFC Hereford or whatever it may be.

I admit, it is probably too late. Rather than just a sorry chapter, this probably is the end of the club's history. But I think to actually WANT the club to be liquidated is another thing. It's cutting off your nose to spite your face. Thus, I think if they pay the debts (unlikely, I know), I want the club to be able to tick-over long enough to be sold. But, as I say - that's only if they pay the debts.
