HEREFORD United still have a transfer embargo upon them, the Southern League confirmed today.

Last week, league secretary Jason Mills said: “The Football Conference put in place the embargo, not the Southern League, therefore, at present, Hereford United can register players.”

But today Mills said: “The league wishes to correct previous reports regarding Hereford United FC in that it was served on June 30 2014 with a notice that it was placed on a Player Registration and transfer embargo in accordance with Appendix H of its league rules. That embargo remains in place as of this date.”

Am I reading this correctly? The club cannot transfer players in, or register them at present?
With the season just weeks away things look pretty sad.
As Luke Graham said on these pages, how can a club sign players when the club still owes money to previous players and staff.
Has Tommy Agombar made any statements outlining the future of the club. Or have I just gone deaf?

I like my old chum littlewhitebull am confused by this **** from the Southern League.
If HUFC cannot register players, then how will they field a team for the SL fixtures this season, given that the Southern League has accepted HUFC into the league?
Who are all of the young people training with Taylor? Are they registered? If not, then what are they all doing?
Is there any kind of plan from the Southern League to deal with the eventuality that HUFC cannot field a team? Or will they just let HUFC get away with fielding unregistered players.

What's going on ?
