HEREFORD United still have a transfer embargo upon them, the Southern League confirmed today.
Last week, league secretary Jason Mills said: “The Football Conference put in place the embargo, not the Southern League, therefore, at present, Hereford United can register players.”
But today Mills said: “The league wishes to correct previous reports regarding Hereford United FC in that it was served on June 30 2014 with a notice that it was placed on a Player Registration and transfer embargo in accordance with Appendix H of its league rules. That embargo remains in place as of this date.”
