A SPOOF pre-season fixture list for Hereford United has been circulated to the Hereford Times.

The message claimed to come from the e-mail account of the club’s new owner, Tommy Agombar.

The fixtures included matches against Cwmbran Town, Malvern Town and a Home Counties tour with games at Cobham, Sheerwater and Henley Town.

But Hereford Times sports reporter Ian Morgan contacted Cwmbran Town, who had not been in touch with anyone from Hereford United.

The e-mail, which claimed to have been sent by Mr Agombar, contained a London telephone number which did not connect when called.
