A DEAL to bring new investment to Hereford United is expected to be finalised today.

The Bulls yesterday (Thursday) announced that both parties had reached an agreement and the matter was now being dealt with by their respective legal teams.

The club also said that the news regarding the winding-up petition served by ex-manager Martin Foyle had not come as a surprise and will be included within the agreement.

The notice will be heard at the Royal Courts of Justics in London on June 2.

Foyle, who left the club in March, claims that he is a creditor of the company and issued the petition on April 15.

There has been much speculation about who Hereford's manager will be for the forthcoming campaign.

Bulls chairman David Keyte said that Peter Beadle, who kept Hereford up last season against the odds, is in the frame for the post, despite some reports stating otherwise.

We will keep you posted about nay developments that come out of Edgar Street throughout the day...
