IT’S no surprise, after all the postponements we have had, that the games are coming thick and fast.

We have had some good wins over Braintree, Lincoln and Cambridge, with a good display against high-flying Wrexham, too.

Having risen to ninth in the table, I feel we are more than capable of finishing in the top 10.

Showing consistency through to the end of the season is important for the club.

Two back-to-back wins all season tells our story really - not consistent enough to mount a serious challenge in the play-offs.

I think it’s been a great learning curve for everyone in involved at the club.

Learning how to survive after relegation is never easy, ask Lincoln and Stockport fans who are still struggling in their second season back.

All the players now have 14 games left to play and the stakes are high.

One player has a contract for next season, the rest of us are playing for contract renewals, whether it’s here or somewhere else.

As a player you want to finish as high as you can in the league. You want to finish the season on a high and give the fans optimism for next season.

I honestly believe if we keep the nucleus of players we have and add wisely we will have a great chance of play-offs next season.

Let’s hope that, off the field, the club will be in a position to keep us moving in the right direction on it!

Personally, I haven’t finished outside of the top 10 for years and I won’t settle for a limp over the finish line.

We are paid to enter a competition and I want us to compete and get as many points as possible.

Defensively we have a good record and I won’t be happy if that slips either.

With the amount of games every week, I have been staying over in Hereford a lot more to prepare for games.

We have now decided between us (Clucas, O’Keefe, Carruthers and I) to finally have a few house rules.

It’s all designed for fun purposes yet also keeping the house in good order, too.

We’re also building up a nice little kitty to paint the town red in Hereford once the season ends.

There is the normal fines of leaving dirty dishes, rubbish and general cleanliness. All at £1 a fine.

Then there are the silly ones at 10p a fine. Our favourite topics, catchphrases and swear words if spoken will cost you.

Sometimes we sit there in silence!

The lengths to which housemates will go to get you fined is unbelievable.

I’m forbidden to talk about my lovely girlfriend for instance. So they always ask me how she is.

Chris Carruthers cannot speak about his golden years at Bristol Rovers and also speak about tea...he sticks to coffee now!

We are hoping to have enough money to have a drink each.

Finally, a well-done to Marley Watkins on passing his driving test. Beware the whole of Hereford, please take this as a stark warning.

The road trip I’ve just had to Worcester from Hereford was one to remember. Marley kindly offered to take a few of us to see the new Quenton Tarantino film Django Unchained.

I was just glad to make it to the cinema on time. At one point we were going backwards down Frome Hill or it appeared that way as a 40-tonne lorry overtook us.

Fifth gear was a lesson for Mr Watkins!
