A LONG journey to Barrow produced a thoroughly professional performance to take the three points.

Again our men on target were Josh and Ryan who both are on great goal-scoring form for us.

Then our attentions turned to Cheltenham, confident we could set up a dream tie against Everton.

It wasn't to be.

You can talk about referees all-day long but neither team done enough to win it, in my opinion.

We defended brilliantly over 210 minutes and they needed a dubious penalty to help them over the line.

That says it all to me, we matched a team looking good for League One football next season.

The cup run has given us all a lift as a football club and as players we thank fans, friends and family for the support through the tough times.

It's gone now and our chance to go to Wembley has gone as well after a wretched performance in the FA Trophy.

It's the third time this season we haven't done our club justice and, as good as we have been recently, we let ourselves down big time.

The gaffer has had his say and now we focus on the League.

Do we finish with a whimper or do we have a push for the playoffs?

I believe what we lack in depth and quality, we make up for with work-rate and character.

We have four tough games against teams in the play-off places, if we want to get near them then we have to take points off them.

With a few additions in January and a few of our injured players back in the mix, I don't see why we can't put some heat on the top five. We will see.

On a personal level, the last six games have seen us keep some clean sheets away at hard places to go and also keep a League Two strike force quiet for two games.

If I can maintain good form and chip in with a few more goals then it could be a positive season for me after a disrupted start to the season.

After managing to get a life-boat across the Hereford bridge on Christmas Eve, we had a good mud bath of a session!

Lets hope my pedalo will get me home for a slice of Christmas turkey! Can't wait to enjoy Christmas with my fantastic family and friends.

Thanks to the Bulls fans for all the support so far this season and have a great Christmas and New Year!

I hope we bring you some festive cheer out on the pitch!
