The lads did us proud by winning a potentially tricky FA Cup tie in overcoming Fc United. There was a lot of pressure on the team as everyone knew the prize money was greatly needed.

We all expected us to win to a team two leagues below us. Yet there was a daunting crowd to contend with and opposition players hungry to get a scalp.

I listened to the game on the radio and had to switch off after 15 minutes! It was nervy and thankfully when I turned back on, we were winning! I had a sigh of relief and was delighted for everyone at the club when the final whistle blew.

We were made aware of the fact that we wouldn’t get paid at the end of the week. Every player’s situation is different and you have to respect that. Yet the reaction was first class.

We are rallying around each other and our team spirit is really coming to the fore now. I’ve been through this situation before and know how important it is to focus on the pitch and keep morale going, as it can really affect you.

The Gaffer gave us the go ahead to do ‘Movember’ and the majority of the players have taken part. It is a great cause and the end result is going to be brilliant!

A few of us have had a clean shave for the first time in years and are suffering from nappy rashes! I certainly feel it’s taken a few years off me yet Andy Gallinagh looks like a baby assassin!

Obvious look-a-likes are forming with famous moustaches in James ‘Basil Fawlty’ Bittner and Josh ‘Will Ferrell’ O’Keefe!

The amount of money raised for the football club by the supporters has been tremendous. It shows how much fight is left in Hereford. There are too many good people around to let the dark times get the better of us!

The management and players are well aware of the support around us and it is makes us more determined to perform out on the pitch.

We have been working hard in training with a limited amount of players. I, for one, am desperate to get out on the pitch again and put my injury troubles behind me.

Being injured gives you a chance to reflect. I’ve set myself new goals and I’m determined to push Hereford United forward.

I have recently finished my coaching badges ready for management. It certainly has a short shelf life and you have to be ready for anything.

I saw the Gaffer’s comments regarding players’ wages this season compared with last season recently. We have now have £400 players compared to £1200 players last year. That’s a huge difference!

On top of that, we have a transfer embargo and are struggling to pay wages to players. How do you deal with that as a manager?

We have also had several injuries to contend with. It goes to show how difficult a job it can be. It hasn’t put me off in the slightest though!!!

Some of the players took part in a fundraiser quiz for Halloween at the football club yet it was the choice of attire, not the quiz, which was the centre of attention.

The scheming players that included Chris Carruthers, Sam Clucas, Josh O’Keefe and Marlon Jackson had informed unsuspecting victim Marley Watkins of their intent to dress up for Halloween.

Poor Marley makes the effort to dress up like a Clown, covered in face paint and a big red wig! He turns up excited to see the others lads in fancy dress…Whoops!

The oldest tricks in the book are always the best! Well played lads and lesson learnt Master Watkins!
