Friday night’s game against Bristol city was the perfect end to an encouraging preseason. We were sloppy in possession at the start of the game, yet got better and found a way to win. To stay unbeaten and keep five clean sheets is a credit to us. No matter what the opposition has been, we have been professional as a group and worked hard throughout. This counts for nothing now though and we have to take this into the season.

THERE'S nothing like playing 90 minutes a lot earlier than expected in the sweltering summer heat. That’s what Sammy, Gallers and I had to do after hitting a brick wall after 60 minutes. We took pride in the clean sheet and I thought in the first half we had the chances to put the game to bed. The support was awesome and I was delighted with the backing for the club.
