Easton and Webb back in contention for Bury visit

4:23pm Friday 14th December 2007

HEREFORD United will travel to Bury for Saturday's League 2 clash hopeful that their injury crisis is reaching an end.

Luke Webb came through 45 minutes of a reserve-team clash with Bristol City on Tuesday so should be ready for a return to first-team action.

And the influential Clint Easton, who has missed the last three matches, has also been joining in training this week and should come into consideration.

"Karl Broadhurst could join in training on Friday as well," said Bulls director of football Graham Turner.

News is less good, however, about Liverpool loan player Ryan Flynn who also played for 45 minutes in the reserves but has suffered a reaction to his injury and has returned to Anfield for treatment.

Defenders Richard Rose and Robbie Threlfall also remain sidelined with longer-term ankle injuries.

Hereford, who have lost only one of their nine away league games this season, are on a run of 10 games without defeat and boss Turner will be hoping to extend that into the New Year.

"It has been a great run and we need to make sure that we keep it going," he said.

"And we certainly have to make sure that complacency does not set in.

"Bury have a threat up front where Andy Bishop is a good player and Glynn Hurst gets his share of goals."

Mid-table Bury began the season with a 2-1 win at MK Dons but, since then, their form has been variable. Last week they suffered a 1-0 home defeat by struggling Wrexham.

Last season, a superb 30-yard strike by Andy Williams and an own goal ensured that honours were even at Gigg Lane in a 2-2 draw.

Bulls fans have a chance to snap up half-season tickets in the lead-up to Christmas.

Tickets covering the final 12 United home League 2 matches - and, hopefully, a push towards automatic promotion or the play-offs - are available from the club office at £170 seated (£125 concessions) or £135 on the terraces (£95 concessions).

In a special offer aimed at the next generation of United fans, under-10s can get a ticket covering the 12 matches for just £30.
