THERE was a familiar face from Hereford United's golden era among the 167-strong crowd at Dunstable.
Billy Meadows, one the famous Giantkillers from 1972, came along to run the rule over his successors.
"I live 20 miles down the road and saw that the game was on," he said. "So I thought I would come along and see Hereford play for what could be possibly the last time.
"I thought they were unlucky not to win.
"I was very impressed with the number 10, Sullivan, who buzzed around all over the place and scored a good goal.
"Hereford did fall away a bit in the second half though."
