Ross boost hopes of beating Gloucester 1 drop with Kingswood win

WITH all their Gloucester 1 relegation rivals losing, Ross’ timely win moves them off the foot of the table and only seven points from safety, with a game in hand.

An early Casey Morgan penalty seemed to settle the home team’s nerves and skipper Gavin Oates’ try, converted by Morgan, gave Ross a further boost under the posts.

Kingswood scored to go in only 10-7 down but Ross stretched away again with man-of-the-match Brine going over in the corner.

Even a late Kingswood score could not deny Ross a well-earned victory.
