Hereford secure narrow National 3 Midlands win in Manchester

THE return of influential Dean Powell inspired Hereford to a rare National 3 Midlands away win against hosts who have gone almost three years without a win.

Skipper Jamie Bullock was driven over for a try after 10 minutes and then Charlie Loughman finished off a good movement with a try in the corner, converted by Powell.

A Powell penalty extended the lead to 15 points and, near the interval, Ali McColl went over for the third Hereford try, which went unconverted.
