TRY scoring hero Seb Robinson-Hall says Luctonians must now kick on after helping them to a win over Chester.

The flanker scored a brace of touchdowns in the 20-5 victory which ended a horrid run of 11 straight National League 2 North defeats.

"This is a start and can look forward to the rest of the season," said Robinson-Hall.

"It just a case of getting the boys' mindsets up and this is now an important part of the season.

"The boys have always stuck together and we were not blaming anyone or picking out names.

"We will go forward as a team and hopefully get wins now as a team.

"We have had a few tight games that we should have won and we're definitely too good to go down.

"We deserve to be in this league and we've got to show that now."

Robinson-Hall has been a key player for Lucs recently, but he says it's all about the team.

"It's nice getting points on the board but as long as we win, that's all I care about," he said.

"The boys played well [against Chester] and the subs who came on made a huge impact.

"It was brilliant to be part of."

Flyhalf Sam Boxhall added that Lucs had to perform for the full 80 minutes in order to win.

"From the start, we were on fire and I'm really happy with the performance and the result," he said.

"Against Stourbridge we went 20 points against Tynedale, we were 15 or points down before coming back in the second half.

"We are now all relieved.

"I think it's working well at nine and 10 with myself and Louis [Silver] with him being an older head and myself being young.

"I'm getting good game time and am improving."

Boxhall put the first points on the board when he kicked over a penalty in the seventh minute before great work from Frank Kelly led to the outside centre scoring a try.

Boxhall easily converted for a 10-0 lead.

Chester defended well for the rest of the half and kept Lucs at bay, although the home side would have increased their lead were it not for mistakes being made.

The away side again showed heart at the start of the second half, but the kicking of Silver kept them pinned into their own half where they kept conceding penalties.

Robinson-Hall gave Lucs breathing space when he raced for the line for his first try in the 56th minute, with Boxhall's conversion hitting a post.

Another Robinson-Hall try was scored 10 minutes later before Kyle Joseph rewarded Chester with a touchdown eight minutes from time.

However, it was Lucs' day and there was relief all round when the referee blew for full time.
