LUCTONIANS have now lost 10 games in a row after a dramatic National League 2 North derby against Stourbridge.
It looked like Lucs were on course for a vital win, but a late penalty snatched the victory for the away side.
Luctonians now have a vital game at bottom club Wharfedale when they resume their campaign in the New Year,
Stourbridge scored an early try before Loz Breeze was yellow carded for Lucs.
A penalty made it 8-0 to Stourbridge before they increased their lead with two tries, one of which was converted.
Lucs reduced the deficit with a Jordan Street try and when Sam Boxhall converted Will Burton's touchdown, it was game on.
But back came Stourbridge, who increased their lead to 27-14 with another converted try before half time.
However, Lucs managed to claw their way back into the game after the break.
A brace of tries from Tom Jones, the latter converted by Boxhall, brought them to within a point of their visitors.
And they incredibly went ahead thanks to a second Street try; Boxhall adding the extras.
A mad end to the game saw Stourbridge regain thee lead with a penalty try before Boxhall slotted over a three-pointer.
But it was Stourbridge who had the last word when they managed to score a last-gasp try.
