LEDBURY RFC captain Rob Anscomb says there is still a lot of hard work left to do as his side try to seal promotion from Midlands 3 West (South).

The Ross Road side are three points ahead of Evesham thanks to a fine 47-24 win over Manor Park.

"We've just got to keep winning and playing well, but we won't celebrate until it's over," said Anscomb.

"Our next game is Old Coventrians away and we don't have a great record against them.

"Anyone can beat anyone on their day, so we've just got to keep doing what we're doing."

Matt Hallett scored four of Ledbury's seven tries last Saturday, but Ansomb says everyone should take credit for the team's good performances.

"It's nice for him to score 30 tries this season, but a lot of hard work goes in creating the tries," said Anscomb.

"They are the unsung heroes and Matt gets the cherry on top of the cake."

Ansomb also got on the scoresheet against Manor Park, with the other tries coming from Paul Williams and Matt Milsom.

George Bennion added six conversions.

Bromyard had a walkover win against Keresley in Midlands 4 West (South), while Ross saw off Westbury-on-Severn 39-0 in Gloucester 2.

Meanwhile, Greyhound Ladies beat Tewkesbury 24-21 in National Challenge Midlands 2 (South).

Emma Hamby scored two of Greyhound's tries.
