HEREFORD Rugby Club have arguably their biggest match of the season this weekend.

The Wyesiders host Crewe & Nantwich knowing a win will provide them with a huge boost as they look to climb the Midlands 1 West table.

Hereford have had to contend with using a lot of young players this season and they go into the game just four points above Crewe, who are second from bottom. Stoke and Whitchurch, who both lie in the bottom four places, also square up this weekend.

Hereford were due to host Bournville last weekend, but the fixture was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

Ledbury also face a big test this Saturday when they entertain Midlands 3 West (South) leaders Droitwich at Ross Road.

Ledbury are second in the table, 13 points ahead of Evesham whom they face next weekend.

Droitwich, meanwhile, are 11 points ahead of Ledbury having won all of their games.

Meanwhile, Greyhound’s men and women’s teams both won at the weekend. The men outgunned Malvern Seconds 41-29 in a friendly thanks to tries from Richard Davies, Liam Webdale, Mark Austin and Elliott Phillips, while the women thrashed Cheltenham Civil Service 69-0 in National Challenge Midlands 2 (South).
