HEREFORD ran in five excellent tries as they continue their fine form in Midlands 1 West with a 35-14 win over Dudley Kingswinford.

The Wyesiders controlled the game for all but a 20 minute period in the second half and were deserving winners.

Following a lineout, a Hereford drive to the line was held up and the ball was picked up by Jamie Bullock, who powered over for a try.

Dean Powell converted.

Hereford then claimed a second try when Tom Ewins offloaded the ball to Will Ford after a 40 yard run from inside his own half; Powell again adding the extras.

As the interval approached, Morgan Goodall found touch in the away sides 22 from a penalty.

Hereford took the ball at the back of the lineout and Richard Preece touched down for the Wyesiders' thrird try.

Powell landed the conversion to put Hereford 21-0 up at half-time.

Dudley began to put the Hereford defence under pressure after the break and grabbed a converted try.

Hereford responded with a Luke Yarranton try, which Powell converted, before the away side pulled the score back to 28-14.

But the Wyesiders had the final say when Powell converted Perry Pudge's try.

Hereford are away to Bromsgrove this Wednesday in the semi-finals of the North Midlands Cup Plate before hosting Kenilworth on Saturday.
