A FORMER Bromyard and Ledbury rugby coach is targetting more success Down Under.

Harry Orgee led the Queensland Reds 7s to the National Title last year following a 28-26 win over New South Wales Warratahs.

"I want to continue to develop the 7s and go back-to-back with the Reds," said Orgee, who was a student at Hereford Cathedral School.

"I also want to produce full-time athletes for both the Reds and Australia.

"I have been coaching a number of Australian schoolboys and won the national 7s title having finished third in the previous tournament.

"This took place in Wagga Wagga in New South Wales and was held over two days.

"We beat the Warratahs' Under-18 side in the final, having been 26-0 up at half-time.

"We then had a poor second half, but managed to get over the line.

"The key is to develop players to go on and represent Australia in the form of full-time sevens contracts."

Orgee, who also played cricket for Canon Frome, had another accomplishment as skills and attack coach at the University of Queensland.

"We were the Regional Premiership Winner, beating Brothers Rugby in the final," said Orgee.

"I was working with athletes who play two levels below the Super Rugby competition.

"A number of the players go on to represent Brisbane in the National Rugby Championship (NRC) and the Queensland Reds.

"I implemented a game plan to provide a different approach to attack/

"I was also a coach of the University of Queensland 7s, travelling across Australia competing in various 7s tournaments held in Melbourne, Gold and Sunshine Coast, Sydney and Brisbane."

Prior to living in Australia, Orgee was head of the National Rugby Academy with the Singapore Rugby Union having left Hereford in August 2010.

He oversaw the development of all the country's players from 13 to 21 and single-handedly redesigned the country's development and academy programmes.

Orgee was also head coach of the national Under-16 and Under-14 teams, leading the Under-16s to a win against Hong Kong for the first time in 10 years.
