LEDBURY have won their opening two games in Midlands 3 West (South) following a narrow 22-21 victory against Shipston on Stour in a match that saw seven players sinbinned.

Ledbury captain Rob Anscomb departed for prevented a clear scoring opportunity before Aaron Almcond, who replaced Ansomb as skipper, was sinbinned for a poor tackle.

And then George Bennion found himself in the book for illegally disrupting a Shipston attack.

Remarkably, the referee also handed out yellow cards to four Shipston players following various infringements.

But Ledbury managed to win the game after coming from 21-9 down.

Three Bennion penalties were Ledbury's answer to 16 points scored from Shipston in the first half before the home side grabbed a try after the break.

But Ledbury got back into the game after Dave Bromage converted Ansomb's try.

And they won the match thanks to two Bennion penalties.

Greyhound ran in 11 tries to thrash Warley 67-6 and earn their second successive win in Midlands 5 West (North.

The Dogs already have a plus 67 points difference and will be looking for another victory this Saturday when they host Chaddersley Corbett.

Mike Weaver grabbed three of the tries, with Ed Howarth, Elliot Phillips and Ali Paton scoring two each.

Mitch Loughman and Oli Paton claimed the other tries, with Matt Eden and Howarth doing the duties the boot.

Bromyard earned a losing bonus point at Telford in Midlands 4 West (North).

A penalty from Matt swain and a try from Greg Leighton were Bromyard's reply to three unconverted tries from the home side.

While, in Gloucester 2, Ross-on-Wye beat Cotham Park 39-3.
