Who is your sporting hero?Neil Back for his self belief to achieve despite others saying he was too small to play for England. Coaching wise, Wayne Bennett (Brisbane Broncos) and Clive Woodward (England) who have installed such unique successful cultures in clubs and teams.

Who is your sporting mentor? My good friend Simon Lane, the junior academy manager at Gloucester Rugby. We worked together at Worcester Warriors and learnt a lot about the process to become successful.

What is your best sporting moment? Coaching Singapore National U16 team to beat Hong Kong U16 for the first time in 10 years. Hard to nail one moment, however feel privileged working with such talented young athletes in the various organisations I’ve been a part of.

And the worst? Coaching the Ledbury side that lost to Woodrush by over 100 points. However I could always count on Chris Stokes, captain at the time, to lift the playing group that night and Tuesday training.

Do you have any sporting ambitions? To one day become a full-time academy manager either in the Aviva Premiership or Super Rugby competitions.

What was the last trophy you won? National Championship in Singapore 2013

What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given? Believe in what you coach, think outside the box and no matter the playing ability, community to elite, incorporate APES, (Active, Enjoyable, Purposeful, Safe)

What is the best piece of advice to give to a youngster? Back your skills and ability. Rugby is 15 one on ones!

Do you have an superstitions? I always stand behind the posts and never in the technical areas, much to the annoyance of the match officials.

What possession would you save if your house was burning down? My macbook has a lot of memories of home (Herefordshire) and of my travels around the world and has my airmails on it.

Which five people would you invite around for dinner? James Gandolfini aka Tony Soprano; Beatrix Potter; Michael Jackson; Jonny Wilkinson and Chris Stokes - to bring the Stowford Press.

What hobbies do you have outside your chosen sport? I really enjoy cooking and have learnt a fair bit from my travels, I also like to play squash and climb.
