HEREFORD Harriers Wheelchair Rugby League Club has joined with Hereford RFC to become their wheelchair rugby section.

Wheelchair RFL allows mixed teams and is for both able bodied and disabled players of both sexes.

Teams are allowed five players on the pitch, two of whom can be able bodied and rolling substitutions apply.

Hereford Harriers will join the 12-team National League, which features teams from as far north as Dundee right down to Gravesend in Kent, from April 2015.

Hereford Harriers which will be the only team between Swindon in the south and North Wales. The club has a nucleus of experienced players but needs more players with training sessions currently being held at thePoint4. See the Harriers Facebook page for dates and times.

A 'Battle of Britain' tournament will be held at thePoint4 in Hereford on November 29 and 30 and will feature as well as Hereford Harriers, Swindon St George, Liverpool Lions and Gravesend Dynamite.

The competition is being staged as a two-day festival in the off -season to promote the sport and to provide competitive practice for the teams, three of which are national league teams and who come from the four corners of Britain.
