Hereford 52 pts Market Bosworth 19

COACH Mark Harris was delighted after the Wyesiders kept their outside chance of a Midlands One West play-off place alive with an eight-try demolition of basement club Market Bosworth.

“We achieved what we wanted,” he said. “And there is still the possibility of a play-off place if Burton slip up on the run in.

"Richard Pritchard had a tidy game on his debut at out half. He showed composure and did everything right."

The visitors took the lead against the run of play with a converted try but, after 10 minutes, a slick passing move released Sean Day to run round and touch down behind the posts. Lloyd Collier made the conversion.

With Hereford prop Gus Lowther yellow-carded for throwing a punch, the home side scored again after Collier, Jamie Bullock and Pritchard fed Nat Thomas for the second Hereford try. Collier again added the extra points.

The Wyesiders registered three further tries through Tom Ewins (2) and Nat Thomas with Pritchard landing two conversions to take the interval score to 33-7.

Within fifteen minutes of the restart Hereford registered three further tries.

Sean Day raced the length of the field to score and then James Watters broke through for a brace of tries. Pritchard slotted two conversions.

The visitors profited with two further tries in the closing stages as Hereford relaxed.
