Manor Park 15 pts Ledbury 25
LEDBURY'S promotion hopes from Midlands Three West (South) are in their own hands after a bonus point win at fifth placed Manor Park on Saturday.
The Ross Road side are now in third place but have to play the two teams above them and have a game in hand over leaders Pinley, whom they trail by six points.
An early try by Ben Smith put Ledbury ahead and, although Manor Park hit back with a penalty, Ledbury went on to dominate the first period with a second try from Smith, one from Rob Anscomb and a penalty and a conversion from Smith which saw the visitors lead 20-3 at the interval.
Two tries, one of which was converted, at the start of the second period brought Manor Park back into the game with the gap reduced to just five points.
But Ledbury's skill, fitness and composure saw them through and Jock Welch's try, after a number of other opportunities, secured the bonus point and sealed an important win.
