WITH away performances being disappointing so far this season for Luctonians, the team have singled out the remaining home fixtures as must win games. With top of the table, Macclesfield coming to Mortimer Park on Saturday, Alex Davidson believes it’s vitally important to turn good home performances into results.

“The crowd are massive for us for the remainder of the season," he said. "When you continually ask for 110% from the players it can often be the crowd that lifts them that extra 10%.

"I know it’s a bit of a cliché but the atmosphere here is like playing with a 16th man, it’s just fantastic support and we couldn’t ask for anything more.”

Captain Jimmy Norris was also quick to praise the club’s supporters as he underlined the importance for the players of having good home form.

“They’re great, I think that quite often the opposition can be intimidated by the support we have here and that’s a fantastic bonus for us as we always target every single home game as a win, whoever it is that comes to Mortimer Park. We expect to win at home, it’s a difficult thing to do but it’s something we set out to achieve at the start of every season because we know hard it is to get results on the road.”
