PEGASUS Juniors manager James Edmonds says cannot wait to lock horns with Westfields in a mouth-watering FA Cup tie this Saturday.

The two city sides will square off at allpay.park in an extra-preliminary round tie, with the winner's facing a home game against Kidsgrove Athletic.

"I'm massively looking forward to it because it's a local derby and should be a good game," said Edmonds, who has replaced Chris Hyde in the Pegasus hotseat this season.

"They are massive favourites but we are shaping up ok so far this season and the boys are showing promise."

Pegasus go into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat against Black Country Rangers in the West Midlands (Regional) League Premier Division.

Rangers opened the scoring in the third minute thanks to a fine finish from Phil McKerdy.

But Pegasus later had two players sent off for professional fouls.

Lewis Hughes was dismissed after 30 minutes for an alleged high tackle before captain Paul Allam saw red five minutes into the second half.

"We did extremely well in the circumstances considering we had nine men for most of the second half," said Edmonds.

"I couldn't see much from the dugout so you have to go with the referee who deemed they were professional fouls.

"We had a couple of breakaway chances and they ran the clock down at the end, which is a bit ironic considering they were playing against nine men.

"So there some positives to take out of the game."

Pegasus opened their league account with a 2-1 win against Wellington Amateurs on Saturday.

Ben price opened the scoring at Old School Lane after 36 minutes before Wellington equalised five minutes into the second half through Noah Hollingsworth.

But a fine goal from Kyle Panniers with 12 minutes to go.
