Luctonians bounce back with National Two North win over Leicester Lions

LUCTONIANS bounced back to form in National Two North after their battering at leaders Stourbridge the previous week with a 32-8 home success over Leicester Lions.

But it was not such a good day for Hereford who suffered a 38-19 reverse at Berkswell & Balsall.

Ross, the only other county side in league action notched a point from an 8-8 draw at Cainscross.

It was a generally good day for the all the Hereford teams in West Midlands League action.

Two goals from Tom McLean, one from the penalty spot, with Pete Wood also on target helped Wellington to a 3-1 home win over Darlaston Town.

And Leominster Town bounced back from their mauling last week with a 1-1 home draw with Wombourne United.

It was a clean sweep for the county’s Division Two side with Bartestree beating Sikh Hunters 2-1, unbeaten Lads Club enjoying a 3-0 success over Wolverhampton Sporting Community Reserves and pride of place going to Ledbury Town’s 6-0 success at Wrens Nest.
