Orleton ace Scott Moran still leads race for British Hillclimb title

ORLETON race ace Scott Moran has cemented his place at the top of the MSA British Hill Climb Championship after solid displays in the Channel Islands.
Scott was third and fourth in the two run-offs at Bouley Bay in Jersey.
The reigning champion took joint first and third places at Val des terres in Guernsey.
Scott’s dad, Roger, is third in the provisional rankings after fourth and third places in Jersey and then second and thirdplaced finishes in Guernsey.
Scott and Roger will be missing this weekend’s rounds at Wiscombe Park in Devon and also the Craigantlet meeting in Northern Ireland.
“We are not competing in the next two events but we will be back at Shelsley Walsh on August 18 and 19,” said Scott.

Round 19: 1 Goodyear 27.57s; 2 Roger Moran 28.69s; 3 Scott Moran 28.05s.
Round 20: 1 Goodyear and Scott Moran 27.76s; 3 Roger Moran 28.01s.
Å The Young family had an excellent showing in the latest round of the Midland Hillclimb Championship at Gurston Down, near Salisbury.
Deryck Young was the winner of both run-offs with wife Sue in second place on each occasion.
To complete a fine weekend for Herefordshire drivers, Mike Turpin won his class to remain unbeaten and extend his championship lead.
