Leominster darts ace Keri Stinton enjoys a double success

KERI Stinton had a double sucess to celebrate when Leominster Charity Winter Darts League held their finals night and presentation evening at the town’s Royal British Legion club.

Stinton carried off the ladies’ singles title with a win over Claire Hall and then linked up with Lisa Mills to tale the ladies’ pairs title.

Hall was again a beaten finalist, alongside Juliet Cooke.

Wayne Griffiths won the men’s singles, beating reigning champion Mike Williams in the final.

Dan Jones and Pete Staite carried off the men’s doubles title with a triumph over Wayne Griffiths and Nick Forrester.

Griffiths was also the runner-up in the mixed pairs when he and Rita Forrester were beaten by Jess O’Brian and Karl Davies.

The 180 winner was John Davies with Wayne Griffiths’ 160 winning the highest check-out prize.

Hazzbeens collected a double by winning the Division One title and the knock-out cup, while the respective runners-up in those competitions were the Taddymen and White Lion.

Nags Head from Canon Pyon were the Division Two winners from Stella Dartios.

The league presented cheques for £900 each to Westfield Walk Whirlpool appeal and the Leominster branch of the St John’s Ambulance with Hazzbeens collecting a third trophy for raising the largest amount for charity.
