IT was a disappointing afternoon for Luctonians whose National 2 North play-off hopes suffered a setback with a 29-18 home defeat by Hull.
Hereford, too, had a poor afternoon with an 18-16 home defeat by Hinckley leaving them dangerously placed, third from bottom in National 3 Midlands.
Ledbury, though, have soared to the top of Midlands 4 West South after beating the previous leaders, Old Wheatleyans, 36-12 at Ross Road.
And Bromyard continue to lead the way in Midlands 5 West North after an 18-7 home success in the local derby with Stourport.
Ross are beginning to lose touch with the pack in Gloucester after an 11-5 home reverse against Gloucester Old Boys.
But Greyhound are still well in touch with the Gloucester 3 leaders after being awarded a home walkover against Tredworth.
Westfield remain second in the Midland Alliance after being held to a 1-1 draw at basement club Alvechurch but are now four points adrift of Coventry Sphinx, who beat Boldmere 2-1.
There was an excellent result for Wellington in the Premier Division of the West Midlands League as the villagers forced a 1-1 draw at second-placed Gornal.
And Pegasus went one better with a 2-1 success over Malvern Town.
But Bromyard continue to struggle after a 3-0 reverse at fourth-placed Wednesfield.
Leominster Town, meanwhile, stay third from bottom in Division 1 after a 3-2 defeat at Bridgnorth Reserves.
