Hereford swimmer Laura Hudson won two titles at the 52nd English Schools Swimming Association Team Championships in Coventry.
The 16-year-old helped Plymouth College to victory in both the girls’ 4x50 metres freestyle relay and the 4x50 metres medley relay.
Laura, a former Hereford Cathedral School pupil, and her Plymouth quartet also achieved a new national record time of 2.02.68 in the medley relay.
They had qualified for the finals after winning both their disciplines in their regional heats before Christmas.
The Plymouth quartet then sailed through the championship heats in both events.
They set a new competition record of 2.03.61 in the medley heats which they later broke by almost a second.
In both finals, the girls faced strong competition from eight other schools from around the country, including Millfield in Somerset.
However, the Plymouth College team shone in two hard-fought races to seal both titles and clock a new national competition record time.
Laura represents the City of Hereford Swimming Club where she has been a member for eight years.
