IN spite of pressure on the run-in, the Zeds are just about maintaining their lead at the top of the Hereford Snooker League.

Zeds easily beat Police A 4-1, Tim Dutton the only Police winner, but Flukey Few went nap at P Shed X to close the gap to two points.

Miller Boys are third after a 4-1 home success against out-of-sorts Reds, Martin Hughes winning the last to save them from the whitewash.

Farmers A edged out P Shed M 3-2, Lee Cartwright taking the decider, while Farmers C eased away from the relegation places with a 4-1 win at home to Miltary B. Allen Rea had a 37 break for the Farmers, Jason Plant a 34 in the only win for the Miltary.

In Division 2, P Shed Y remain at the top despite losing to clubmates P Shed O, the first four frames shared before Jimmy Butler took the decider for the home side.
