ABIGAIL Tennant from Hereford has secured a place on the GB under 21s endurance team, to compete in the FEI 120km (75 miles) in one day endurance European Championships, to be held in Oviedo, northern Spain later this month.

Abigail, who rides her 15.2hh chesnut 10yr old French Arab mare Chador, hopes to emulate or improve on the silver medal the pair won in Eastern Germany last year at the Nations Cup Ride.

Abigail is a former pupil of Whitecross School and has been a student at Holme Lacy College for the last two years.

She will attend Aberystwyth University after the championships.

There is a fund-raising ride from Drybook, Gloustershire on Sunday. Please contact Sharon Parr on 01594 544 559 for details.
