IAN Rivers continued his remarkable run of form with another victory in the penultimate round of the Hereford Wheelers ‘10’ mile TT series on the Lugg Bridge course.

The popularity of the Hereford Wheelers ‘10’ mile TT series has continued throughout the season with another good turnout of 47 riders.

The competition between the riders of Hereford Wheelers, Hereford Tri Club and Climb on Bikes has made this year’s league tables very interesting.

There may be victory for the top men racing for the podium positions but there is some very close racing between riders further down the rankings.

Rivers took first place in another excellent ride to finish in 22 minutes and 25 seconds. Fired-up fellow club member Alex Haines took glory from Climb on Bikes rider Richard Lambert and Wheeler member Jon Tetley to finish second in a time of 23 minutes and 7 seconds.

In the Ladies competition, Tri Club member Linda White was on-form to finish in 28 minutes and 49 seconds. Second place was taken by Tricia Wright in her first Wheeler event, finishing in 29 minutes and 13 seconds.

The top five riders were: 1 Ian Rivers 22.25, 2 Alex Haines 23.07, 3 Richard Lambert 23.26, 4 Jon Tetley 23.28, 5 George Burgess 23.47.

The top five lady riders were: 1 Linda White 28.49, 2 Tricia Wright 29.13, 3 Sarah Lloyd-Stephens 29.15, 4 Jo Crisall 30.16, 5 Wendy Howells 33.57.

This evening (Thursday) is the 15th and last round of the ‘10’ mile TT series which will be held on the Allensmore circuit course at 7pm.
