HEREFORD trail by four points after a compelling first-half in the Midlands 2 play-off at Wyeside.
Two tries from forward Dave Massarella have given Hinckley the advantage in this hard-fought clash.
Hereford led 13-5 after 17 minutes after a two early penalties from Jeremy Grisman and a try from Gareth Miles. Grisman slotted over the conversion but was then yellow carded for an offence before Hinckley hit back strongly to take the lead.
Meanwhile, Luctonians trail Huddersfield 16-0 at half-time in the Division 1 play-off which kicked off 10 minutes late. The hosts scored a try just before the break.
