A CONVOY of football supporters from Herefordshire and the border towns will be heading to London today to cheer on their side’s promotion push.
More than 1,000 fans from the county are expected to make the trip to Griffin Park for Hereford United’s big League 2 clash with Brentford.
The away end promises to be a sea of yellow with the Hereford supporters being encouraged to wear the colour of the Bulls’ away strip.
Hereford are third in the league table with two matches remaining and a win would keep them in a strong position for an automatic promotion spot.
Goals from on-loan strike duo Gary Hooper and Theo Robinson gave United an important 2-0 win over basement side Wrexham on Tuesday.
Hooper has scored 11 goals in 18 matches but his 93-day loan spell from Southend United expires after today’s match.
Hereford host Grimsby Town next Saturday at Edgar Street in their last league game of the season.
Sports Editor Richard Prime will be covering today’s game for the Hereford Times.
A match preview, half-time and full-time reports will be available this afternoon on: herefordtimes.com
