THE Kings Caple yard of trainer Venetia Williams has recently started to hit winning form, with a four-timer on Monday at Wincanton and Ludlow and they followed that up success at the rearranged Hereford card on Tuesday with a treble from One Style, Huff And Puff and Geordie B, all partnered by jockey Charlie Deutsch.

Sent off 9/4 favourite in the hands of Deutsch in the two mile five furlong Novices Handicap Chase, the eight-year-old One Style who runs in Williams’ own colours was always at the head of affairs and despite a mistake at the final fence they stayed on strongly to win by three and a quarter lengths and To start off the treble.

An absence of 404 days and sent off at 14/1 seemed to suggest Huff And Puff was unfancied in the two and a half mile Handicap Chase but ridden with confidence by the in-form Deutsch the partnership just had enough in reserve to repel the last ditch effort of runner up Pembroke House trained by Leominster trainer Sarah-Jayne Davies by half a length.

Williams completed the treble, along with Deutsch, when Geordie B scored in the concluding National hunt flat race by half a length.

Another local winner was that of Llantara from the yard of Hoarwithy trainer Tom Symonds who was an impressive winner of the two mile Westons Cider Mares Hurdle race on scoring a fluent two length win.

Llantara was sent off a generous 100/30 in the seven runner event despite a good win last time at the testing Towcester course and ridden with great confidence by Ben Poste and with a smooth challenge to take the lead at the final hurdle they cruised home an easy two lengths from Shroughmore Lass and jockey Jack Sherwood.

The in-form hurdler Flashjack was expected to follow up his recent course win in the extended three mile handicap hurdle but held up early by partner Andrew Tinkler, Flashjack was a spent force on the final circuit coming under strong pressure leaving Groundunderrepair ridden by Thomas Greatrex to come home a winner from the favourite Game On ridden by Aiden Coleman.
