KNOWN for his goalkeeping ability Matt Gwynne showed that he can also play outfield after helping Bromyard Colts to a 3-0 victory in the Herefordshire FA County Cup final against Roebuck Inn.

The Worcester City goalkeeper, stared the previous day as City drew 1-1 with Rugby Town before lacing his boots a day later in the cup final.

It was Gwynne, wearing the number 10 shirt, who slotted home the opening goal on 18 minutes.

Gwynne had a chance from the penalty spot to increase his side's advantage before half-time, but the Roebuck goalkeeper was equal to his effort.

The cup final was eventually settled after 62 minutes thanks to Dan Hill's sweet finish and Will Tolley scored the third.

Bromyard will be hopeful of making it a league and cup double as the season comes to an end.

They currently sit a single point behind The Lion with a game in hand, with the title rivals meeting each other this Sunday in a winner takes all match (11am kick-off at Bridge Street, Leominster).
